2006 Wild Boar Hunts

Hunt Details

We will be leaving on the Friday night before the scheduled hunt and return with our trophies on Sunday afternoon.  If this is something you are considering, you need to sign up immediately.  Last year we booked these hunts within a few weeks so act fast.  We can only take as many people as we have reserved places for.

Event Log

• Departing from Walnut Creek Archery at 6:00 PM Friday night.

• Arrive at Double "D" Ranch at 9:00 P.M. for check-in.

• Hunt begins after breakfast Saturday morning.

• Dinner and story tell Saturday evening.

• Leave Sunday afternoon for return home.

You can opt to meet us at Double "D" Ranch either Friday night or Saturday morning at 8:00AM.  If you need information about what to take or what to expect while at Double "D" Ranch, please visit their web site at www.ddranch.com.  Double "D" Ranch's policy is "no game, no pay" so you don't have to worry about paying for a hunt and not getting your game.  Double "D" Ranch is located in Southern Ohio on a beautiful large amount of rolling land.  They have over 36 different animals to choose from that range from high end exotics to trophy "record book" elk.  This could be a trip you won't soon forget.

We require $395.00 deposit to hold your available space on a hog hunt.  We require the full amount of the hog hunt due to the higher commitment of booking larger groups.  This deposit will cover the complete cost of your hog.  The only additional charges then due at the time of the hunt will be the cost for lodging ($45/day) and butcher service ($55).  Walnut Creek Archery takes care of reserving the spaces available with Double "D" Ranch.  In the event you don't get an animal, the "no game, no pay policy" of Double "D" Ranch will allow you a guaranteed return on your deposit.

Additional/Optional Cost Information

• $50.00 off the second animal taken on the same hunt.
• Lodging includes home cooked meals at $45.00 a person, per day. 
• Father and son or husband and wife, lodging is $75.00 per day, meals included.
• Butcher services available for $55.00 and additional cost for larger game.
• Ice to pack you meat is $1.00 per bag.

Total Event Cost Estimated at $545.00.

All this information is available on Double "D" Ranch's web site.  Some prices are subject to change and are based on pricing set by Double "D" Ranch management.  Walnut Creek Archery receives no cash compensations for this event.  We go to see a bunch of guys and gals have a good time and to bag a boar ourselves.  Pricing breaks are available through the benefits of the group hunt.  All said, come join us on a great hunt!
